Up for sale is a Rare Vintage Casio SKX-1300 Twin LED men’s digital ski sports watch from the 1980s, powered by Module 1187. This model was released exclusively for the Japan Domestic Market (JDM) and is one of the most unique and eye-catching Casio sports watches of its era.
The SKX-1300 features Twin LED lights mounted on the top and bottom of the bezel, designed to illuminate the surroundings rather than just the display — a highly unusual and innovative design element. This makes the watch extremely distinctive and highly sought after by collectors.
The watch is in full working condition, and all features and functions operate properly. Every component is original, including the incredibly rare original Casio ski band with bold woven lettering and locking strap ends. These bands were often removed or damaged over time, making an intact original setup extremely difficult to find today.
Physically the watch is in great condition, especially considering its age. The case, display, buttons, and strap all present beautifully, with the colors still vibrant. Please review the photos carefully, as they provide the best representation of its physical condition.

► ARCHIVE FILE: CASIO — BRAND HISTORY
Casio began not with watches but with calculation. Tadao Kashio founded Kashio Seisakujo in Tokyo in 1946, and with his three brothers developed the 14-A in 1957, the world's first compact all-electric relay calculator, incorporating the business as Casio Computer Co. that same year. The move into watchmaking came in November 1974 with the Casiotron, a digital watch whose claim to fame was an automatic calendar that knew how many days each month had, a small feat of logic that announced how an electronics firm would approach timekeeping.
